We are finally moving!

We never expected our moving process to take so long! We were not able to move into the first place we really liked because we have a dog. After that we found an even better place and were not able to move in because other people wanted it too and started a bidding war for it. We walked away because we pay for value not for price. Unfortunately the other people that also wanted that apartment do not see it that way and are now overpaying for something because of their fear of loss. We have something bigger than fear of loss, we have fear of God. Our faith gave us the comfort that another condo in Miami Beach would turn up for and it did. Praise the Lord, we will be moving in next week to a condo that accepts our puppy and is in a great neighborhood.  Prayer works! I cannot stress that enough.

It’s going to be like Christmas for me to take our things out of storage and start unpacking. I can’t wait! I have gladly started running the little errands like connecting the electricity. I look forward to walking the dog everyday while enjoying the ocean breeze. We already started looking into scooters so that we can enjoy the beach lifestyle to the fullest. We are just thrilled that soon the transitioning will be over and we will be settled into our home. Change is never is easy but is it always worth it and sometimes necessary to enjoy the next phase of your life.

This past week, in addition to working with our realtor to find the best fit for us, we spent three entire days being mentored by a 30 year old man worth over $100 million and some of his millionaire colleagues. The first day I left the meeting entirely speechless after 9+ hours of eye opening knowledge. My mind was spinning as if a new world had been opened up to me.  It was not that he was giving us tricks or facts that other people do not know. He was not showing us short cuts or telling us to change our career plans. He was helping us shape the way we think. His words expressed a vision of thinking outside the box and to approach problems in ways that people normally wouldn’t in an effort to be innovative. I learned that you can earn a lot of money just like everyone else in the country. Yet, to be truly wealthy and use your wealth for good, such as charity work, you have to think like no one else thinks and work to serve others. It was mind blowing to hear and see how working to serve others is ten times better than working to serve yourself.

Not only did masterminding with him expand the way I think but he was also a great example of a great steward. He gave all the glory to God and continuously does charity work. On the 2nd day his wife spoke to us and it was great to see a couple working together just like Matthew and I do. They were not newlyweds like us but you would have never known given how well they interacted with each other. It was so nice to see another couple that works together and is so positive. They have truly inspired us to take what we do to another level while giving God and our relationship priority. There is no easy way to be successful in work or a relationship. Great intentions alone are not good enough either. We work hard, always seek to learn more, and then work to serve others. These past few days have not only validated it all but encouraged us to take it to the next level. I can’t wait!

There are times in life that no matter how much you plan or speculate, you find yourself facing a lot of unexpected surprises.  We were no exception.  We were married in Miami, Fl with no idea that we would be moving out of Tampa soon after only to move to Miami Beach. We had no idea that as soon as we got to Miami we were to be faced with a frenzy of networking opportunities.  Doors have been opening left and right for us. The exciting part is that the entire time we know God led us here and that we are reassured that trusting in Him is always the right way to go. I’m not saying that God is calling everyone to move or to run their own business. God has different plans for different people but I certainly encourage everyone to keep an open mind for what God has in store for you. There are times when I have prayed and their answer God gave me was NO. I kept waiting for God to lead the way for what was next and I found a small surprise. What I thought was a NO was actually an adjustment by God to my request because I seem to have asked for too little and He decided that I needed more. What a great God we serve! God has great things in store for you too! Trust Him and He will lead the way!

God bless!
